Very pretty iMecca to look at all the expensive shiny gadgets you like. Knowledgable and friendly staff, but not enough of them; good luck getting any attention if you’re just stopping in to pick up a new charger or set of earbuds. I assume they do sell Apple peripherals here, but I’ve never been willing to wait long enough to get some attention and have that confirmed!

There’s not a great deal needs saying about Apple Stores, you’re either going to love them in a geeky way, oggling the shiny things nicely set out on the desks, or you are going to hate them. If you go beyond the black and white though you’ll find a set of really helpful people in the Edinburgh store, always knowledgeable and always looking to find ways to get you the best outcome for you — I’ve had a few things out of warranty that have been replaced under ‘Consumer Law’ without any complaint.
As a tip, if you need one of your Apple products servicing and you can’t get an online appointment, head into the store and they can book a few extra days ahead.

Firstly I am an apple fan. like their phones, I like apple pies & tarts.
Sadly this shop has been the most infuriating apple store experiences I have had. Its great if you have just come in for a wander and to play with the nice toys BUT I came in looking for help.

Yesterday I went in, waited for 20mins and eventually had to approach a worker whom was staring into his pay pad thing, I got referred to another worker (which I have no issue with) but he knew less information than I had already gathered myself via the wee iPads beside the machines. I was very disappointed.
I go home and get way more information from reddit and decide to go back to the store the next day to buy a machine that costs 2 and a half months rent.
Today I trudge through the rain, get to the store and wait and wait and wait. I would have just grabbed a worker but they were all deep in conversation or the other side of the room (my sad staring them directly in the eye seemed to not work).
I am going to make my purchase online instead.

Well Edinburgh really does have a big apple now, the wrappings are off and all customers can peer into the specialised store. That is until
when they are allowed inside. So I’m not really sure if one store and a few others nearby selling apple products constitutes as their orchard but we’ll see. They are opening to conjunction of new arrivals Air2 and Ipad Mini3 so it is sure to possibly be a very busy day?
What you get is a very plush expensive brightly lit big window type store, and that’s just from the outside, it’s situated on the East end of a long shopping mile, right below and opposite a few famous hotels. A bank of desks about on the ground floor, has a multitude of products to droll over, possibly upstairs is where genius gurus will help you if needs be?
People are sure to travel far and wide to the cities newest arrival possibly on par with when Harvey Nicks announced they would be coming to town. The
added bonus of the first 1000 customers will receive a free shirt in celebration of this opening. Beware though, once you take a bite of the apple it might lull you into a deep sleep — one you might never wake up from!
