I really like the vast array of classes to pick from. They offer lots of different ways to learn and majors to pick from. However, it was really hard figuring out how to get started. I had to have a lot of people help me and it would get discouraging sometimes. When you're paying thousands of dollars you're trying to save up to be there you want it to be a pleasant and simple experience. Every time I would think I made progress I'd wind up back at square one. Now that everything is sorted though I am very excited to start and I can't wait to start learning again.

Overall Florida state college of Jacksonville was a decent experience for me personally. Dependent on the teacher you will learn as much effort you put in. FSCJ is not a super social school but was just what I needed in order to acquire my AA degree.

Staff is amazing, teachers are amazing and the overall experience is amazing. The professors really care about the students and want to see them pass. Just a really friendly school.

Florida State College at Jacksonville is one of the most welcoming campus' I have ever stepped foot on. The professor's are easy-going and there for you when you need a little extra help and the staff are organized and go above and beyond to help your needs.

My experience with FSCJ was great. The people there were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The campus was nice, a lot of student activities going on, and a very friendly environment. Affordable for students, and the dorm was really nice and safe. Overall, the experience was great and the professors were nice, helpful, and they contributed to my academic success.

The teachers are very sweet and understanding, the academic advisors are always helpful. The campus is very very clean and tidy. I have struggled with school a lot but they have a lot of different tutors to help either online or in person.

So far, I have greatly enjoyed my time spent learning at Florida State College at Jacksonville. I was very nervous about entering college after taking a gap year post-high school. FSCJ made the transition smooth and less stressful for me as there were individuals along the way to help guide me. It has helped me gain the confidence I needed in my academics to grow in my personal life, and it has propelled me to want to continue my education. However, because of its status as a community college, the campus life is not very alive, and the community between students is few and far between. If there was anything I could change, I wish I could help spread the word of college activities, and make activities more accessible to individuals that have hectic schedules, like many in community college might have.

Professors and staff were generally good and friendly. There were a few professors, namely online ones that were “checked out” and some we felt that loathed the idea of teaching dual enrollment students. Campuses were nothing special, but the programs and vast amount of certifications at the school was very cool.

My only dis like is the number of advisors over the years that when you talk to them it’s as if it’s their goal is to talk you out of your desired path instead of helping you get there. I don’t need to be told to switch careers, help me get connected with the right or best resources needed to increase my chances of completing my desired goal.

I loved how I was able to transfer my credits from my associates to my bachelor's. However, they kept have new advisors for the program every semester. All the advisors would say something different in regards to what requirements I needed to graduate. Their biomedical program focuses too much on chemistry and not enough on the human body and what is actually going to help me prepare for medical school.

I am so glad I went to FSCJ. I grew up in Jacksonville and I FSCJ is one of the many reasons I love this city. The professors were great and it felt more connected than most of the other universities probably do. Great school could not recommend it enough.

Every professor teaching in the Aviation Maintenance Management program was extremely well-suited and prepared for their students. Their teaching still resonates with me, and they are well equipped with an in-depth knowledge of their profession. However, several courses I attended online were overseen by biased professors who taught courses promoting a particular worldview. those who are given the task of assisting students care nothing about helping the student and seek to rid themselves of the inconvenience. My grades profited me nothing in regards to the school. If ineligible for the FASFA, there is a limited range of scholarship opportunities available. Overall, I will ever hold on to the professors who truly cared to pass on their trade to devoted students; however, due to the unattainable assistance, neglect for scholarship help in the case of good grades, and biased agenda pushed in this college, I will be transferring from FSCJ.

I’m a non traditional student, I didn’t start school until I was 21 and because I’m a military spouse I move very often. FSCJ has been very understanding and helped me achieve the first steps to my academic goals. The advisors are always there for you, and have lots of experience and helped choose the right path and classes for me . Academically I have thrived at FSCJ and they have given me the confidence to strive for more. My new goal is to attend graduate school for occupational therapy. I will be transferring once I get my associates in arts but I will miss the atmosphere at FSCJ.

In my opinion, college quality of education and life was pretty standard. No teacher or class was horrible, but only a few stood out to be considered superb. It's not a "wonderful" college, but it's still enjoyable and helpful.

Overall, my experience with FSCJ has been pretty good. Communication can be lacking, so one has to be aggressively involved and save every email and document to be sure they have the correct information. My biggest recommendation is to do research on RateMyProfessor and believe the reviews when you read them. Other than a few bad professors spoiling the experience for a semester, everything else has been extremely accessible and enjoyable.
