Hi everyone.
Do you tape your diaper differently for different situations?
For example do you tape or fit them differently for when you are mostly sitting versus
taping them for bed when you are lying down for a long period of time?
I found that I let the back ride up a bit higher when mostly sitting so the tapes
won't cut into my thighs.
Then when getting diapered for bed (which I do lying down)
I put front and back panel at the same level.
Anybody else? Any other tips maybe?

When I diaper up, I'm laying down like a good baby girl. Up comes my diaper between my legs, down on my tummy and evened up. Bottom tapes get stuck on snugly at an upward angle to snug the plastic around my bottom, followed by top tapes cinched snugly, horizontally across my waist. It makes my diaper a little more leak-resistant and makes it look extremely toddlerish on me when I sit, stand or toddle-waddle. Looking exactly like a baby is everything to this toddler girl!

When I am diapering I lie on my back on the floor. Then I adjust the diaper and pull the front up. I tape the right bottom side real tight. Then I adjust the diaper some more and tape the other side real tight. Sometimes I’ll lift my leg a bit to get it where I want it. Then I stand up and fold the sides of the top in and then tape the top ones as tight as they can be pulled. I like wearing my diapers as tight as possible.

Yeah I don't think I phrased the question correctly or clear enough.
I meant, do you fit the diaper different depending on what your situation is:
When putting it on before work/school versus putting it on before bed.

I normally don’t put in on differently depending on what I’m doing. I just try to make sure before I tape that the back is where I like and there is enough coming up through the front to get a good fit. I find it easier to do this laying down. I just make sure the bottom tapes are nice and snug and feels good before I tape the top ones

I tape up pretty much the same every time. I've found a method that works for me in pretty much all situations. I get the best fit standing up, leaning against a wall, top tapes first, adjust the standing leg gathers a bit, then bottom tapes. I know this is a bit against the norm, but it seems to work well for me.

I put on 95% of my diapers lying down as well, since I wear them for bed and only very rarely
during the day.
I have learned to get a good fit standing up though, due to the fact that I have been
regularly diapered on long, transatlantic flights.
Nothing better than not having to use the nasty lavatory after 400 people have been
in them over the course of a 10 hour flight.
Before bed I prefer the lying down method. Not only do I know the fit is good,
but it also takes me back when I got diapered before bed as a kid.

Top tapes first when standing up, huh?
I have to try that too.
I usually put my diaper on lying down, but in case of a long flight,
I diaper up in the lavatory of the airplane after I'm done with my meal.
Still always did bottom tapes first, then top.
Do you use PE backed and sticky tapes or clothlike and hook and loop?
I am a firm believer in PE backing and sticky tapes.
That's what I grew up with, that's what I know works well.

Just a thought to archive: hook-n-loops are just as secure a grip, plus they're almost impervious to oils, lotions & powders. It's worth considering.
Location of changing usually dictates how you can diaper up (laying down, sitting, standing) but I always tape my diapers up 'baby-style': with the 2 tapes on each side attached in close proximity to each other. More secure and flexible in all body positions. Works for real babies!

I stand for getting diapered most of the time, I lean against wall and put bottom tapes first and then top ones , some days put a little more tighter ( I usually a size up on diapers)

I am almost always standing when I change, it's easier on my back. The main thing I pay special attention to is I pay a lot of attention to getting a nice deep fit in my crotch area so I can walk easier and bit worry about leaks when I sit or lie down for bed. I check the seal around each leg as I apply the bottom tapes.
I apply great tension to the bottom tapes and make sure when they are adhered to the front that the tension on the wing is going over the top of my hip bones. The top tapes I just out in to hold the rest of the diaper in place. My bottom tapes are doing most of the work.
If I am going out and will be walking a while l sometimes make the tip tapes a little more snug, but generally once my pants are on I don't have to worry about possible sagging because the bottom tapes are already doing a great job.

Did you know there are hybrids made by the ABDL companies? Products like Rearz Barnyard are PB with hook-and-loop! And they are quite a nostalgia hit for those raised in 90s Pampers!
Okay they're not super close but they feel amazing.

I agree. I love the new wave of plastic-backed hook-and-loop diapers.
Here's a current thread about them if anyone missed it, with a lot of photos.

I lay on my back to put my diapers on. honestly i just try and get the bottom tapes around each leg tight enough so they dont leak, and then i try and get the top tapes tight enough around my hips, so that if i end up really flooding it, i can still sit down without pee wanting to spill from the top.

Lol, I tape the exact same way.

I actually have a pack of Beyond XP5000 by XP-Medical right now that I really like.
Plastic backed and hook and loop closure.
They work really well and should also be discreet enough to wear during the day if needed.
I was raised in mostly 70's and 80's Pampers and always looked a little envious at
the kids in 90's Pampers.
